My kettlebell journey started 3 years ago. I was intrigued by a kettlebell class I saw at a local gym and decided to try out a class. That was the day my life changed for the better (many thanks to Rhonda). 2 years prior, I was 235 lbs, out of shape, depressed and probably hung-over. I decided to quit drinking for a year, started working out and soon after my life began to improve. It wasn't until I started training with kettlebells consistently that I decided to make fitness, strength and health a career. I have been very fortunate to have influential mentors in Rhonda Fuller, Franz Snideman and Max Shank and they inspired me to pursue my RKC in 2011. I want to share my passion for fitness and strength with my students and I hope to become a positive influence in their lives.
All classes are facilitated as small group personal trainings with a maximum of 15 people per class. Please contact us for information on private, semi-private, and group training sessions.
Kettlebell Bootcamp - All levels - Circuit Based Class
The Kettle Bell bootcamp is structured in a circuit style format. This class combines traditional kettlebell strength training with high intensity interval training in order to provide the metabolic conditioning required to shred fat and build endurance while getting a full body workout. The class will start with a functional body weight warm up followed by some med/light kettlebell swings to get the blood flowing. After the warm-up the fun begins… participants will move from one timed exercise to another with short rest in between. Some of the movements featured in this class will include the battle ropes, kettlebell swings, TRX, pull-ups, kettlebell presses, tire flips and sledge slams. It’s not only a great way to get in shape, but also a very healthy and productive way to relieve stress. Look for the elusive squatch to make a cameo in these classes as it’s his favorite way to squatch out after a long day dodging lookie-lous in the forest. Hit a personal record and you too will recognized for achieving squatchmode! There are no ranks or scores like cross-fit; we encourage you to compete with yourself to become the best version of YOU in a supportive group training environment.
Kettlebells Elite – Advanced
The Kettle bell Elite class is designed for the advanced kettlebell athlete. This class will combine complex kettlebell movements where you quickly transition from one exercise to another. The exercises will be grouped together into repetitions for a specific number of sets. The purpose of this class is to build overall strength, power, and stamina as well as prepare advance students for RKC testing and competitions such as the Tactical strength challenge. Prior to taking this class the athlete must be proficient in one/two arm kettlebell swings, cleans, presses, snatches, strict form unassisted pull-ups, Turkish getups and barbell deadlifts. The class will finish with a timed workout that will challenge you to push your personal limits. Don’t look now… but there is a squatch right next to you sweating, grunting and growling his way through this intense workout. You WILL achieve squatchmode in this class…. The squatches philosophy is the more the merrier. Bring you’re A-game we keep score in this class by the amount of sweat you leave behind.
